I am soooo happy and I'm extremely busy this weekend. I am going to the movies, out to eat then shopping on Saturday. Sunday I''m going to my sister's recital then doing absolutely nothing. Testing

Today in Health we had to take a test. This test is extremely important for me because basically determines if I get an A in that class or a B. Some people would say a B isn't bad but they don't know my parents. In my house its kind of like a competition against my sister and I. If she gets straight A's my mother and father will say "She studies more" , " She works harder" or " you're the oldest, you should be getting the Straight A's". So an B in Health is like a smack in the face not to mention I have a B in Geometry. So 1 B is okay, but 2 B's is like asking for a beating. So I am praying that I received at least a B on this health test. I mean who gets a B in health?

Sweet 16

Although I'm not 16 yet I can't wait. And I can't decide on what I want to do. I wanted to keep it modest and have go to the salon then midnight bowling with my friends and then sleepover at a hotel. But then i wanted to invite a bunch of my friends and have a big party at a hotel gallery. I don't know what to do but i guess I have a lot of time since my birthday isn't until October.

Drugs

this morning we watch a video about a guy who was a basketball high school star then went to become a pro on the Celtics basketball team. Then started doing drugs. I think its really sad when people have everything together then mess it up by choosing to do one thing. They don't realize that one mistake can change everything. All he cared about was when and where he was gonna get his drugs. He said he overdosed 4 times, and has 7 felonies on his record. He really screwed himself up. I sad to say that people think they are invincible and cannot die from the consequences.

Today the clouds are covering the sun, keeping it from being a nice warm day. But I'm still happy. I don't know why. I think i should actually be nervous because i have to get up in front of my 3B class and perform a scene from Shakespeare. But I'm not, at least anymore. Life

Life is full of ups and downs. One day your happy and the next you'll be sad. I think people should appreciate the life they were given. And not dwell on what they don't have. Life is too short to constantly think about things that aren't happening. So I say make the best out of what you got. And have fun with the people you love and the time you have on this Earth.

My long time life goal would be to be happy. Some people might think that that is an easy thing to achieve, but to me its something that would take years to accomplish. Being happy isn't always guaranteed. Because there is always ups and downs in people's mood, relationship, and everyday life. Things shouldn't be put on a pedestal to make you happy. So i guess what makes me happy the most is being surrounded by my family and friends while achieving the goal of having a nice job to support me and my family.

Internship

I have come to the amazing age where summer camps won't take me.
I'm 15 years old and for 15 year olds you are kind of stuck in the house all summer. I don't have a license so I can't really go anywhere. If I do want to go somewhere I have to wait till my parents get home, which is at 5pm. But I am applying to an internship over the summer. My problem is that I don't have a ride and if I don't get into this internship, I have to  go to a summer camp. This is the time where  I can't wait to start driving.

I can not wait till spring break!!!!! I wont be in Maryland for 4 days. It'll be amazing, me and family are going to go see the statue of liberty, empire state build, and most important SHOP. So if you can't tell I'm excited i just hope the locals can't tell that I'm a tourist. But you can tell if people come to DC as tourist soo i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

My life is really busy right now. With me trying to get straight A's and not doing a good job. My parents arguing constantly and trying to care for my sister all at the same time. I'm also trying to get my learners permit. With all of that I also have to keep in mind that my grade are the number 1 priority. Because my father will accept nothing less than an acceptance to an Ivy League College and I'm only a freshman in high school. 

March, April when is May

But it seems like April is an ongoing trip to hell. I absolutely hate the rain especially in the morning. Then March was so cold it was crazy. Summer just doesn't want to come. And mother nature is clearly in one of her moods today.

Soooooo, i like this guy again he's is going to remain anonymous. But i have about 3 classes wit him. the only bad thing is that I don't know if he likes me. I mean how do you know if a guy likes you or not. He's always flirting and trying to touch me, but i really don't know i don't want it to be like my last semi relationship. I say semi because we really didn't define what we were. And every girl know that defining the relationship is a big deal.

So today i finally realized that i really like this guy. I'm not gonna say names but i have 3 classes with him. I found this out by going through a whole stage of denial and texting him on a regular. I don't know if he likes me, but how does any girl know if a guy likes her if he isn't

So i honestly don't know what i'm gonna do

Who Invented Alcohol

Today in health class we watched a video about an alcoholic. Its was really disturbing. I don't know how someone can abuse a substance so much to where they can't live without it. Its really sad. The alcoholic's name is Kevin and he says he knows he's an alcoholic. His family is trying to help him by putting him in rehab. But we all know you cannot help someone that doesn't want to be helped. The story really hit home because I have an uncle that is an alcoholic. And he lives like that and my grandmother is his enabler. She buys him food and gets him money, in some cases she'll even buy him alcohol. Its really sad because its like she's losing another child.

How did it Disappear

They declared that the missing plane is officially gone. Like it dropped off the face of the Earth and the only traces of it is the two pieces of debris they found in the Indian Ocean. I think its really sad because all of the 100 people on that flight and they can't find anything. The facts that allegedly crash and that there are no bodies found floating in the ocean is crazy. It scares me a little because I take at least 3 plane trips a year.  I really feel all the family members who lost someone on that plane. To me it looks like we have a second Bermuda triangle on our hands.

Don't tell me what i can and cannot do!

Soo i went to dinner with my father so my mother could have a "moms day". And i was talking with him and somehow the conversation went to tattoos. I told him that when i turn 18 i am going to get a tattoo saying CARPE DIEM on my wrist. He looked at me and laughed. Then he said that you aren't getting anything inked on your body. I tried to explain to him that it would be small and i would pay for it. Then he stated a reference from the Bible. First of all how can he reference something from the Bible if he hasn't even attended church for over 2 months.Secondly, once I turn 18 he cannot tell me what to do at all. He tried to tell me that getting a tattoo would effect your chances of getting a job. First off if the tattoo is on my wrist and it says something that a lot of people live by.
I quickly changed the subject because i was getting upset and he wasn't trying to hear what i had to say. So then i started talking about college and how i would like to go to Princeton, Standford, John Hopkins, Or Georgetown. Again he looked at me like i was crazy. He said "out off state tuition is expensive. And when would you see your family?" My problem with this statement is that my father left his home back in St.Louis Missouri to join the military with my mother. He was sent overseas, so i do not understand why it is a problem if i go to California or New Jersey ( which is only 3 hours away). And my family could come up to where i go to school and visit if they are so inclined.
My point is i don't like people telling what i can and cannot do. To me it makes no sense when you did the exact same thing when you were my age. His response " You can't compare me to you".

Today in health we watched a video about domestic violence. Its really sad because they don't even say anything. Sometimes the guy would brainwash his girlfriend so much, that when someone offers help she won't take it. Its disappointing because they think that they can't get anyone else its really sad.

On a Monday Tho?

I absolutely hate my period. It just does not make since. Why should I be punished for not being pregnant.  It is the worst because I always get it on a Monday. Why, I do not understand. Then its not like every other periods, that last 3 days. Mine has to last for 6 to 7 days. Mother nature is just rude!

We just watched this cute video. And i just have to say if i did that my mother would've slapped me. And then i would've got a lecture from my father. So this little boy is lucky because i would've gotten a "boom boom on my butt butt". it was so funny.

As I was walking to my design tech class my friend Lia stopped me and said that she was having some problems with her boyfriend. He is on and off with her constantly and i think she should just move on. But she says there is something about him that her head over heals for him. I don't really know what to say but i always make it clear that i will always be there for her. No matter what! 

Today i walked into my design tech class and my friend since 3rd grade was crying. I didn't know why, but what I did know was that I had to find. The only was problem is that she is so stubborn she didn't tell me. So i just got some tissue and hope for the best.

What truly define a women? I see a lot of girl that think they all need a guy to define them. But i say that that's is not true at all. My Grandmother had 6 kids by the time she was 25 and all were made with the same man. The only problem is that he would hit her constantly, so she finally had enough and  left him. She left him at 26. After that she has never been married. So when i see females that NEED a man so desperately, it infuriates me. A guy should never define who you  are and you should never let them think that they do.

Today in my health class we watch a video about the first teen mom Amber. She got pregnant when she was 17 and had her baby girl Leah at 18. It was a sad story because the whole time she was on teen mom she was either in  jail or yelling at her ex boyfriend all while she was high off of drugs. Then when i read the quote above I wonder how did her life get so off track. Now days some girls want to get pregnant just to be on TV. Then I think is it really worth it?

This movie was absolutely amazing. i love it because these things really happened from the lenching to Wiley College winning the debate against Harvard University. Denzel Washington did a great job prorating Melvin Tolson. All in all the movie was great!

Personally failing is not an option in my book. I absolutely  think that if you don't try you're setting yourself up to fail anyways.So my advice is to always try. Now I have to try and practice what I preach. Which is probably the hardest thing to do. Because its easier said than done.

It sucks to realize that you want someone but the timing is completely off. I never thought that this would happen to me. But as I get older I realize that my whole family has bad timing. My parents got married at the wrong time which almost ended in a divorce. I was born at the wrong time causing me to be one of the oldest people in my grade. Now that I'm in high school, I am OBSESSED with guys. So I liked this guy in one of my classes and he said that he liked me. But i guess I waited to long because now he's in a "committed" relationship. So clearly timing is important to me.

So there was this boy that i had a slight crush on. And i was feeling courageous and decided to tell him. Once I did he said that he like me to. Honestly i was for sure that he was going to ask me out because he's always flirting with me in class. Also my friends said that he did. But i guess they were wrong because now he goes out with one of my friends. I really don't know what happened. I guess i wasn't outgoing enough. I don't know! But what i do know is that i am not going to allow him to constantly touch me when i know that he goes out with one of my friends.

Its hard to see the people that you've been friends with FOREVER stop being friends. I guess its the way of life, people grow apart. But when they do it deliberately it makes it even more frustrating. Let me explain. Saturday I went to Buffalo Wild Wings with some friends and we were having a good time. After we finished eating we didn't want to go home so we said we were going to the mall, which is just across the street.Earlier before we ate my friend Taylor asked if we were going to the mall and i said no. But then she said that we should meet her and my friend Ashley at the mall. At first we didn't want to go to the mall because that's all we ever do. But as events changed we decided to go. As we were walking in the mall, we saw Ashley and Taylor. The problem was that they looked at us in the mall and didn't say anything. It was frustrating because we have been friends since 5th grade. I didn't understand why they were mad. Could a friendship end just like that?

Grades are the WORST

Since I was in the 6th grade i always remember getting good grades. And I never had to study to get them. And now that I'm in 9th grade i realized that I can't just do the minimum to get what i always got. So far i have achieved to get all A's...............and one B. Its kind of frustrating because I'm the kind of person that want to be good at something and not do any work. As i came to this revaluation I also achieved my first F on a quiz. Once I saw what it did to my grade, I realized i had to re-take it. So of course to get a better grade I studied my brains out, and it was terrible but after i studied I felt really good. So the day of the test i was extremely nervous. As i finished i slowly felt better. So some advice always study!

Our Rights

I feel that it is important to always stand for something you believe in. For example I believe in  women's rights. In this day in age women are important in our society and the fact that some people want to take our right away is absurd. I get frustrated with the people that think that just because their religion says abortion is wrong they feel the need to make everyone think the same way. This isn't the 1950's and if wanted to things as women we should be able to.

I really like this quote.. It reminds me of my parents relationship. Over the past year some secrets have came out about both of their past; dealing with infidelity. Its really frustrating for me and my sister to deal with the non-stop arguing and name calling. So finally my father thought that it would be better for them if he moved out. It was a major change from what i was used to. Then i started thinking I kinda like it this way because now i finally get to hear myself think without being interrupted by " that's why my mother never liked you". But i have to say it is getting extremely better and my father has rethink the idea of a divorce. So clearly there has to be rain for a rainbow to appear.

The Struggle of Planning a Surprise Party

Soo my really good friend Kyra is leaving to Alabama on the 24th and some friends and I decided that it would be a good idea to throw her a going away party. It was all planned out; i was going to bring muffins, my friend Nilajah was going to bring soda and more. We were going to have the "Surprise Party" on Friday the 10th. It was the perfect day because it was a half day and a two hour dismissal. But of course whenever something goes right, Karma Strikes. So i just found out that Kyra is going to be late to school because of a doctors appointment. I finally realized that planning a party is harder than I thought
